44 Democrats Vote to Block an Anti-Infanticide Bill - The Worldview in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus
The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act failed in the U.S. Senate last night, thanks to opposition from 44 Democrats who advocated strongly for infanticide, reports LifeNews.com. Democrats blocked the vote on a delay tactic, in order to allow babies to die by exposure.
Every Republican present except for one voted to end the filibuster, along with Democrats Joe Manchin of West Virginia, Bob Casey of Pennsylvania and Doug Jones of Alabama, while all other Democrats voted against the bill, according to the Roll Call.
Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, who supports abortion, did not vote — hurting the effort to collect the 60 votes necessary. Pro-life Republican Senators Tim Scott and Kevin Cramer were unable to attend the vote due to flight delays but would have voted to support the bill.
President Trump tweeted that “This will be remembered as one of the most shocking votes in the history of Congress. If there is one thing we should all agree on, it’s protecting the lives of innocent babies.”

US Senate Bill to Oppose Infanticide - The Worldview in 5 Minutes with Adam McManus
In reaction to New York’s abortion law which removes protections for babies born alive after a botched abortion and Virginia’s attempt to do so as well, Republican Senator Ben Sasse of Nebraska introduced the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act last month.
SASSE: “In a few minutes, the United States Senate is going to have an opportunity to condemn infanticide.
“100 United States Senators are going to have an opportunity to unanimously say the most basic thing imaginable: and that is that it’s wrong to kill a little newborn baby.
“Every Senator will have the opportunity to stand for human dignity – to stand for the belief that, in this country, all of us are created equal. Because if that equality means anything, surely it means that infanticide is wrong.
“In Virginia, disgraced Governor Ralph Northam tarnished the American idea of equality under law, he betrayed the universal truth of human dignity, and he turned the stomachs of civilized people not just in this country but in every country on earth.
“Governor Northam endorsed infanticide. Infants could be kept comfortable and resuscitated and also baby girls can be left cold and alone to die.
“Just a few years ago the abortion lobby was really clear in its talk in hoping that abortion would be ‘'safe, legal, and rare,' Now we’re talking about keeping the baby comfortable while the doctors have a debate about infanticide.
“That is what we’re talking about here on the floor tonight. We’re actually talking about babies that have been born. The only debate on the floor tonight is about infanticide.
“Governor Northam is a disgraced coward and he has such an abysmally low view of human dignity that he couldn’t bring himself to say this basic truth: it’s wrong to let little babies who've been born die. He couldn’t say it.
“This isn’t about Republicans or Democrats. We're way beyond that. Everyone in the Senate ought to be able to say unequivocally that the little baby deserves life. That she has rights, and that killing her is wrong.
“The Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act prohibits exactly the kind of infanticide that Governor Northam was endorsing. That’s it. That’s what the legislation is about.
“There are just two sides of the debate on the floor tonight: you’re either for babies or you’re defending infanticide.”

Democratic presidential candidates want to codify Roe V. Wade
In a dramatic break from the Democrats of yesteryear, today’s presidential candidates are disturbingly enthusiastic cheerleaders for the murder of pre-born babies.
Without exception, they championed the codification of Roe v. Wade into law by the legislative branch.
Only Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii thought there should be some protections of the baby in the third trimester of her development inside her mother’s womb. You’ll hear Gabbard’s voice at the very end of this audio clip.
KAMALA HARRIS: “People need to keep their hands off of women's bodies and let women make the decisions about their own lives.”
COREY BOOKER: “And we're not talking about the clear and existential threat in America. We're in a state that has had two Planned Parenthoods close. We are seeing this all over this country, women's reproductive rights under attack.”
AMY KLOBUCHAR: “I would codify Roe v. Wade and make it the law of the land.”
JOE BIDEN: “I would make sure that we move and insist that we codified Roe v. Wade. The public is already there. Things have changed.”
PETE BUTTIGIEG: “I'm not talking about packing the court just with people who agree with me, although I certainly will appoint people who share my values. For example, the idea that women's reproductive freedom is an American right.”
JULIAN CASTRO: “I would also make sure that I appoint, as President, people who respect the precedent of Roe vs. Wade, that we codify Roe vs. Wade.”
ELIZABETH WARREN: “We now have support across this country. Three out of four Americans believe in the rule of Roe v. Wade.”
TULSI GABBARD: “This is often one of the most difficult decisions that a woman will ever have to make. And it's unfortunate to see how, in this country, it has for so long been used as a divisive political weapon. I agree with Hillary Clinton on one thing, disagree with her on many others. But when she said ‘abortion should be safe, legal and rare’, I think she's correct.
“We see how the consequences of laws that you're referring to, can often lead to a dangerous place as we've seen them as their passed and other countries where a woman who has a miscarriage past that six weeks could be imprisoned because abortion would be illegal at that point.
“I do, however, think that there should be some restrictions in place. I support codifying Roe v. Wade, while making sure that during the third trimester, abortion is not an option, unless the life or severe health consequences of a woman are at risk.”
(Gabbard is polling at under one percent in the RealClearPolitics polling average, the lowest of the 12 candidates in Tuesday’s debate.
More than two decades of Gallup polling has found that 86 to 92 percent of Americans support protecting the pre-born baby in her mother’s womb during the third trimester pregnancy.)

And the document from the Massachusetts law said this was to protect the tendency to dull humanitarian feelings and corrupt the morals of those who abuse them—a law to prevent the abuse of goldfish. ...
How did we ever get here where we just massacre infants in the safest place in the womb? Where we literally go in there and kill them? How did we get to this place?

The horror that has been unleashed on America (and in the world) in the name of “a woman’s right to choose” is nothing less than the “American Holocaust.” In Germany, the Nazis killed more than six million Jews, Poles, Christians, and other “undesirables” during the Second World War. In America, [60] million innocent children have been slaughtered. And for what?
