5. MLK Jr. denied the exclusivity of Jesus Christ. He was a universalist, an ecumenist.
In one of Martin Luther King Jr.'s prayers, he prayed: “We call you different names: some call you Allah; some call you Elohim; some call you Jehovah; some call you Brahma; some call you the Unmoved Mover. But we know that these are all names for one and the same God.”
Allah and Brahma are not alternative names for the one true God (Yahweh). These are idols (false gods). Watch: Do Christians and Muslims worship the same God? - GotQuestions; See: Brahman and Yahweh: Do Christians and Hindus worship the same God? - CARM No, Hindus and Christians do not worship the same God.
In one of his most famous speeches, Martin Luther King Jr. said:
"Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God's children. ... And when this happens, when we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual, 'Free at last! free at last! thank God Almighty, we are free at last!'"
But, is this true? Are all of us God's children or only born again Christians? The Bible says "But as many as received Him (Jesus Christ), to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name..." (John 1:12). See: "Are we all God's children?" - One Way Jesus
(A) Socialism is often a necessary stepping stone to communism. Just Thinking Podcast | EP # 022 | MLK 50 Conference on Podbean
The MLK50 Conference held on April 3-4, 2018 by the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission (ERLC) has been controversial, to say the least. The Generations Radio Program | Martin Luther King or John Jasper Day on Podbean
The world’s heroes are not our heroes. We compare Martin Luther King Jr. to John Jasper. Who’s John Jasper? That’s the point of this program. God calls us to impartiality, not to be a respecter of persons. This applies as much to segregation laws as it does to pastors who commit adultery.
