I felt the need to post about this topic because I have been concerned with some of the recent articles being presented at prominent Christian websites (i.e. Desiring God, the Gospel Coalition). What they seem to be suggesting is that sexual desires of the same sex is not sin unless acted upon. The Bible teaches that adultery begins in the mind/heart. Jesus said that whoever even looks at another with lust (sexual desires) has already committed adultery in their heart.

There are some leading evangelicals who would not admit it, but they are actually denying the power of the Gospel to transform a soul. I like what Pastor JD Hall writes:
"Brothers, we have to believe in the Gospel’s power to transform. No – transformation does not happen overnight because, yes – sanctification is progressive. But if the Gospel can’t change and replace our sinful natures with renewed natures, we might as well give up on the Gospel altogether."
