Dennis Miller, SNL Alumni and conservative radio talk show host is quoted as having said,"Born again?! No, I'm not. Excuse me for getting it right the first time.” Dennis Miller, like so many others, needs to read the New Testament account of the conversation that the Jewish religious leader, Nicodemus had with Jesus (see below). "Born again" is not a type of Christian; all Christians have been born again. There is no such thing as a Christian who has not been born again. "Born again" is also not a label that Evangelicals created. The term itself originated with a Jew. His name was (is) Jesus, the Messiah, the Son of God!

13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:13-16 NKJV) The following is from GotQuestions.org: How should Christians stand up for their faith in such an anti-Christian world? As Christians, the two things we can do to stand up for Christ are to live according to His Word and grow our own knowledge of Him. Christ said, “Let your light shine before men…” (Matthew 5:16). This means that we should live and act in a way that supports the gospel. We should also arm ourselves with knowledge, both of the gospel (Ephesians 6:10-17) and of the world around us. First Peter 3:15 says, “But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.” All we can do is live and teach as Christ would and let Him take care of the rest. Critics of Christianity have become more vocal recently. This is partly because there are many people who do not believe in God or understand the truth about Him at all. Yet the apparent increase of anti-Christians is also due to perception. As with many topics, those who truly despise Christianity are the loudest and most vocal of the non-believers. The vast majority of those who do not believe don’t care enough to bother believers. The few angry, vocal, bitter unbelievers make enough noise to seem more numerous than they are. Read more: http://www.gotquestions.org/anti-Christian.html An often repeated phrase is "Hate the sin, love the sinner." Gandhi may have said it... but it's not in the Bible. The following is from ExaltChrist.com: God Hates the Sin AND Hates the Sinner AND loves the Sinner - David Platt & D.A. Carson by Jared Moore David Platt recently argued that God hates the sin and hates the sinner and loves the sinner. Scripture clearly teaches both. Reject the cliche’ that God only “hates the sin and loves the sinner.” Our sins cannot be separated from us. Jesus didn’t just die for my sins; He died for me! 5 The boastful shall not stand before your eyes; you hate all evildoers. 6 You destroy those who speak lies; the Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man (Psalms 5:5-6). 5 The Lord tests the righteous, but his soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence (Psalms 11:5). 16 There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, 19 a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers (Proverbs 6:16-19). 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him (John 3:36). Finally, a homosexual activist has bluntly stated this reality: Even knowing that there are radicals in all movements, doesn’t lessen the startling admission recently by lesbian journalist Masha Gessen. On a radio show she actually admits that homosexual activists are lying about their radical political agenda. She says that they don’t want to access the institution of marriage; they want to radically redefine and eventually eliminate it. Vicky Beeching first was introduced in the Christian music industry in 2002, but became more prominent with the release of her worship album Yesterday, Today and Forever in 2005. The release featured songs such as Above All Else, Great is Your Glory, Search Me, and a new take on the hymn Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus. She released two additional albums in 2007 and 2010, co-writing the song Glory to God Forever with fellow worship artist Steve Fee and touring with the band Delirious and singer/songwriter Rebecca St. James. I think the only time that she mentions theology is to let Pastor Scott Lively (who does an excellent job by the way) know that she has a PhD in theology. She might as well toss her PhD in the garbage bin because she has abandoned orthodox theology. Instead, she has believed in the lie of the culture ("if it feels right, then it must be right"), a culture whose worldview is not informed by the infallible Word of God, but by the fallible words of men (media, pop-psychology, pseudo-science, etc.). Now that Vicky has gone public with her sin, what needs to happen now is church discipline: 1. She needs to be counseled. 2. She needs to repent. 3. If she refuses to repent then she needs to be put out of the church (for her own good). Sadly, she probably goes to a liberal church where this will never happen. The title of one of Vicky Beeching's most popular songs and album is "Yesterday, Today and Forever." The Bible says "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." (Hebrews 13:8). His love never changes and neither do His moral laws. God is unchanging. He does not change his mind according to man, rather man must change his mind according to God -- this is called repentance. I really hope and pray that Vicky repents, for the sake of her soul. (See: "What does it mean that a person will not inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)?" (GotQuestions.org)). It is possible that Vicky might not even be a true born again Christian. (See: False Conversion) RELATED:

Photo [source] Why Is Reading the Bible So Important? by Ken Ham First and foremost, the Bible is essential for knowing God and His will for our lives. The book of Romans tells us there are certain things we can know about God from general revelation. Without Scripture people can know about God’s power and divine nature by examining creation (Romans 1:20). They also know God’s law because it is written on their hearts (Romans 2:14–15). However, there is a vast difference between knowing about God and personally knowing God. READ MORE: https://answersingenesis.org/bible-questions/why-is-reading-bible-important/ RELATED:
