Are you prepared to stand before a just and Holy God? Before you answer this question, you must know that He demands absolute perfection! Jesus said, "For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:20). But none of us are perfect. The Bible says that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23); no one is righteous, no not one (Rom 3:10).
You have broken God's moral law. The Bible says that whoever breaks one of God's laws is guilty of breaking all of them (James 2:10). God sees you as a guilty lawbreaker and He must punish you. Therefore, He will send you to Hell! The Bible says that all lawbreakers (sinners) will forever have their part in the lake of fire, which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death (Rev 21:8).
God does not want to send you to Hell. He loves you and He wants to save you, but He must punish you for breaking His moral law. You are a guilty sinner and "the wages of sin is death" (Hell) (Rom 6:23a). But the story does not end here. The same verse goes on to say: "but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Rom 6:23b). You earned death, but God offers you a gift. He provided a way (only one way - John 14:6; Acts 4:12) for you to be forgiven of all your sins and have your death sentence commuted. What God did was send His only Son to take your punishment on the cross: "...Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures" (1 Cor 15:3-4)
God wants to save you, but on His terms, not your own. We cannot be saved by pedigree, personal achievement, self-sacrifice, or by doing good deeds. We are also not saved by religious rituals, church attendance, baptism, doing penance or even by martyrdom. We are not saved by any of these things. "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." (Eph 2:8-9). Now you can reject God's Gospel of grace, but you do so at your own peril. There is no hope for you. You will not be saved. When you die, God will send you to Hell!
Repent (turn from your sins) and put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Then you will be saved, now and for eternity!
