What is Biblical Evangelism? By Tony Miano
The word “biblical” is defined as: “Of, related to, or contained in the Bible.”
For the definition of the word “evangelism,” I turn to Pastor Thabiti Anyabwile who provides a solid and succinct definition. He defines the term this way:
According to the New Testament, evangelism is just preaching the gospel, the evangel. It is a work of communication in which Christians make themselves mouthpieces for God’s message of mercy to sinners. Anyone who faithfully delivers that message, under whatever circumstances, in a large meeting, in a small meeting, from a pulpit, or in a private conversation, is evangelizing. Since the divine message finds its climax in a plea from the Creator to a rebel world to turn and put faith in Christ, the delivering of it involves the summoning of one’s hearers to conversion.1With the above in mind, and for the purposes of this article, the definition of “biblical evangelism” is as follows [...] READ MORE: http://carm.org/biblical-evangelism

Street Evangelism: Interview with Andrew Rappaport
Today on Generations Radio, we interview Andrew Rappaport on the challenge of street evangelism and apologetics as well as the great blessings that attend this work. The need for apologetics and evangelism continues to grow as apostasy continues in the Western World. Whether it be the Muslim, Mormon, or Christian Apostate, they each need to hear the message of hope that is found in the gospel of Jesus Christ alone. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ Street evangelism in five steps by Jesse Johnson at the Cripplegate |

Here are some words of encouragement from famous magician / illusionist / entertainer Jillette Penn (1/2 of Penn and Teller) and avowed athiest. One night after a show, a gentleman approached Penn wanting to give him a copy of the Bible. Penn was taken aback by his love, kindness, and what seemed to be a genuine concern for Penn. Here is Penn’s pertinent quote: “I've always said that I don’t respect people who don’t proselytize. I don’t respect that at all. If you believe that there’s a heaven and hell, and people could be going to hell, and not getting eternal life or whatever. And you think that it’s not really worth telling people this because it would be socially awkward. And atheists who think that people shouldn’t proselytize, just leave me alone, keep your religion to yourself. How much do you have to hate somebody to not proselytize, how much do you have to hate somebody to believe that everlasting life is possible, and not tell them that. I mean, If I believed beyond a shadow of a doubt that a truck was coming at you and you didn’t believe it that that truck was bearing down on you, there is a certain point where I tackle you, and this is more important than that!”
Powerful words, considering the source! This is a man who publicly attacks the character of God and the Bible. He along with his partner (Teller), actually have shows that mock and blaspheme God and His holy word saying things like "The Bible is bull****!" and even titling their television series in 2003 Penn & Teller: Bull****! which has been nominated for several Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Writing for Nonfiction Programming in 2004, 2005, and 2006. Gospel tracts really do work!Have you ever wondered whether a single gospel tract left on a table or park bench could really make the difference in someone’s life?
It did for Moody Bible Institute's president, Dr. Paul Nyquist. "I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior on September 25, 1972 when I was a freshman at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Neb." "One day, as I was going back to my dorm, I saw a pamphlet on the floor and picked it up. To my surprise it was a Gospel tract that someone had discarded. Later that evening, while I was alone in my room, I read it and learned how I could know for sure that I would be going to heaven. That night in the quiet of my dorm with no one else present, I put my trust in Jesus Christ as my Savior." Useful tip: Whenever I go to a restaurant, I try to always leave a gospel tract on the table with the tip. Sometimes I leave two, one for the busboy and one for the waiter. It's an easy way to share the gospel! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gospel tracts that look like actual currency are always a nice touch! Why do 80-90% of those making a decision for Christ fall away from the faith? What is the principle that Spurgeon, Wesley, Whitefield, etc., used to reach the lost? Why has the Church neglected it? The purpose of salvation is to save you from God's wrath, not for life enhancement. Sure, things like hope, peace, joy, and contentment will come to the Christian, but this is a by-product and should never be the motive. This is a wrong motive for coming to Jesus Christ and most likely will result in a false conversion.

NEW YORK -- Christians are commanded to go into all the world and preach the gospel. Recently, CBN News met an 84-year-old New York woman who's taken that mandate to heart. She's been ministering on the streets of Manhattan for decades. (http://www.cbn.com/cbnnews/us/2011/November/Elderly-Street-Evangelist-Still-Committed-to-Times-Square-/)

Internet blogger; Former atheist who found Christ through her online journaling. This is her journey from atheism to Christianity and from pro-choice to pro-life. - Interview with Moody Radio Chicago
People are being reached for Christ via the internet. If you are a Christian desiring to share your faith with others, then starting an internet blog or a social networking account is not a bad idea. Remember, technology is neither good nor evil, it all depends on how you use it. If you are using technology to reach the lost, I believe that God will bless that.

This video addresses the false claim that as a Christian, "all I have to do is live a good life and people will know all they need to know about God." The claim that you don't have to share your faith with your mouth is deBunked.
