There is a 3 letter word that you will not hear very often in our culture and in the media and even in many churches today; it's the word sin. But sin is the reason why evil exists. And until we deal with sin in the human heart, then men and women will continue to do evil and those who report bad news will always have a job.
"People are basically good" is what you hear over and over again. You may even believe this yourself, but what the Bible says is the complete opposite. The Bible says that men and women are evil (they are born that way). They are all wicked sinners in need of saving and Jesus Christ is the only Savior. But until one believes that they are a rotten wicked sinner deserving of God's wrath, then they will not come to the Savior for saving.
